Trotamundos (Globetrotters) is one of Mendoza’s nicest hostels, with a lovely backyard that has a barbecue, a small pool and plenty of room to play. It enjoys a nice location about 15 blocks from the bus station and within walking distance to Mendoza’s huge General San Martin Park. Bike rental is also available.
Near the Vineyards
Club Tapiz -$$$ Pedro Molina Ruta 60 km 2.5, Chacras de Coria
With only seven rooms you would expect Club Tapiz to charge over US$200 per night, but prices start around the US$165 range. This vineyard guesthouse has its own bodega, upscale cuisine, a swimming pool and all sorts of spa/lunch specials for those in need of pampering. The is an ideal honeymoon or anniversary destination and also a good choice for a girls’ getaway.

This mud-brick posada (guesthouse) is located on a vineyard in the heart of the wine region. Breakfasts consist of local specialties and guests can also enjoy a traditional asado. A nice blend of rural authenticity and comfort. Prices are surprisingly reasonable.
